Teachers Can Buy Homes Honors Kindergarten Teacher at Tortuga Elementary

Teachers Can Buy Homes honors Valerie Shough, a Kindergarten Teacher, today with a donation of $500 to go toward her class.  Normally when a teacher or employee of Lee County Schools buys a home through the program, a donation is made to their school program of their choice.  Leon Dale with the Department of Transportation for Lee Schools wanted his donation instead to go to Mrs. Shough for the hard work and dedication she showed toward their daughter last year.  It was my honor to meet with her and her principals and am blessed to have met a teacher who truly showed that “Every Kid Counts”
